Our Solari November monthly briefing is part of the Solari 60-Day Cash Challenge. Attorney and Solari lobbyist Tobi Maier will be joined by citizen-activist Saga Stevin to discuss model legislation to address programmable money: the Consumer Payments Rights and Transparency Act. The briefing will go into detail about why a bill addressing programmable money is needed and what the bill would do. There will be time for a Q&A at the end where you can ask any questions you may have about how to get this bill introduced in your state.
Please register here and feel free to share with anyone you think would be interested in the briefing: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_LwEyt2JAQtCncDoTxYfRew
If you live in Florida (or even if you don’t), we also want to alert you to a fundraiser for Congressman Thomas Massie taking place outside of Tampa on November 11 (see details here). Catherine and Elizabeth Murphy will be representing Solari at the event, and former U.S. Congressman Dennis Kucinich (a former two-time presidential candidate) will also be in attendance.
Our priority at Solari is your freedom and the protection of your individual sovereignty and human rights. This means that you must enjoy financial freedom, the ability to use your resources and transact without invasive control by digital ID systems or programmable digital money. The Solari 60-Day Cash Challenge is a way for each of us to continue taking practical steps to defend that freedom while bringing communities together in support of cash.
This week, we encourage you to thank businesses that accept cash. A simple “Thank you for taking cash, it really matters to me” may lead a business owner to think twice about converting to an all-digital system. If you encounter a business that refuses cash, consider politely asking why. Often, the decision is based on misunderstanding or perceived convenience; a respectful conversation may help them reconsider.
If you’d like to hand out materials, you can print and share our “Use Cash” stickers to spread the message in your community.
