In 2025 Solari is hosting monthly online briefings for state legislators and elected officials and their staff and the Solari subscribers who are working with them. This month’s briefing will be on Thursday, April 10th from 2:00-4:00 pm ET. Catherine and Tim Caban will be joined by Joe Wolverton of the John Birch Society to discuss the push for a Constitutional Convention (Con-Con). The John Birch Society warns that a Con-Con could become a "runaway convention," with no guarantee it would remain limited in scope. There are no clear rules to prevent drastic changes, and history shows that conventions can go beyond their original purpose. Powerful special interests could influence the process, putting our Bill of Rights at risk. The real issue isn't a flawed Constitution but a failure to follow it. Instead of opening the door to unpredictable changes, we should focus on enforcing the Constitution as written. We’ll discuss these concerns in depth during our April briefing and have time for a Q&A.
