Howdy!
As y’all may know, Solari is now hosting monthly online briefings for state legislators and elected officials and their staff and the Solari subscribers who are working with them. During these briefings Catherine and guest speakers will discuss how states can protect their ability to transact freely. In addition to the presentations by Catherine, each briefing will include time for a Q&A. Last month’s briefing was on the push for states to create Bitcoin Strategic Reserves. In support of that education process, Catherine created this briefing which can be read for free off of Solari. The recording of the meeting can be accessed here.
February’s briefing will be on Thursday, February 13, from 12:00-2:00 pm ET (this briefing is two hours earlier than our usual time) with Professor Richard Werner discussing sovereign state banks. Richard joined us earlier this month discussing this topic, the recording can be watched here. The two will follow up on their recent conversation about helping legislators understand why creating sovereign state banks is an excellent idea. They will also answer attendees’ questions about some of the nuts and bolts involved in establishing such a bank. Currently, the only sovereign state bank in the U.S. is the century-old Bank of North Dakota, which offers a superlative role model for other states. If you think your legislator, member of their staff, or other elected officials in your area would benefit from this briefing we encourage you to invite them.
If they agree to attend, we welcome you to join the briefing as well. Email ElizabethMurphyTN@protonmalil.com for more information.
If you’re not sure how to go about reaching out to your legislator, we suggest reading this resource we created last year on the topic.
In freedom,
The Solari Team
