Well folks this was not an email we wanted to write. Last night Senator Frank Niceley, one of the greatest statesman to ever hold office in Tennessee, was defeated by his primary challenger. We saw multiple out of state school choice/voucher PACs such as Team Kid, American Federation for Children, and the School Freedom Fund attack and lie about Frank during the race. Dozens of mailers were sent out calling Frank a liberal, comparing him to Biden, and smearing his name. Commercials were run against him and door knockers were hired from out of state to come knock on the doors of his district touting the lies. When the final vote came in Frank received 8,132 votes and his opponent 10,200.
A bright spot last night was seeing that Michele Reneau won against incumbent Patsy Hazelwood. Michele is a homeschooling mom, Weston Price Foundation chapter leader, and a medical freedom advocate. She still faces a Democratic challenger in the general and if you'd like to support her, her donation link is here.
While we're grieving the loss of Frank in the Tennessee legislature we're excited to see what he goes on to do next. Meanwhile, it's on all of us to double down and make sure that true conservatives are elected. We are the first line of defense and it's on us to do the research on candidates running for office in our area and share this knowledge with friends. If you don't know who your legislators are, now is the time to learn!
If you can afford to donate to good state legislators, please do. Frankly, we are extremely concerned at the extent to which conservatives who can afford to donate are sitting on the sidelines. We are allowing ourselves to be significantly outspent by people who practice plunder capitalism.
