Howdy!

We started off our tiny acts of activism series last week with the suggestion to be more conscientious in using cash regularly, this week we’re changing direction a bit to look at who you’re using as your email provider.

Currently there are only two email providers we suggest folks use: Proton Mail and StartMail. Free email services from Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL, and the like are not secure. Solari has been or is being actively blocked by Microsoft, AT&T, Comcast, Reagan.com, and many others. For a further breakdown of all of our suggestions in regard to cyber security, please visit our FAQ-page and click on the cybersecurity portion.

As Catherine wrote in “Dillon, Read & Co. Inc. and the Aristocracy of Stock Profits”, “While we hate “the system,” we keep honoring and supporting the people and institutions that are implementing the system when we interact and transact with them in our day-to-day lives."

Enjoying the financial benefits and other perks that come from that intimate support ensures our continued complicity and contribution to fuelling that which we say we hate, and compromises our privacy and safety as well as that of the people with whom we communicate. Let’s all take baby steps to make sure we use the systems that respect our individual lives.

Wishing y’all a lovely week ahead,
