Howdy!
We wish we were able to report better news, but unfortunately two of the main bills we were in support of this year were not funded. HB2803/SB2735 (which would have created a TN state mint) was taken off notice in House Finance Subcommittee and HB2804/SB2737 (which would have authorized the treasurer to put between 1-3% of the rainy day fund into gold and silver and made gold and silver legal tender) was returned to the House clerk's desk last week. In happier news, SB2219/HB1901 (which clarifies that "money" and "deposit accounts" do not include CBDCs) was signed into law by Governor Lee.
We appreciate everyone's support via calls and emails and while we we're disappointed by the outcome, our education results have contributed to a broader understanding of the threat to our freedoms. That means we're hopeful about our chances next year.
In the meantime, keep circulating the materials on the threat to financial freedom and how much we and our state legislators can do. Please keep our efforts in your prayers and keep using cash and making sure everyone you know is using cash. A growing cash revolution can help push legislators all over the country to act. |
