Thank you to everyone who joined us for our July 9 Financial Transaction Freedom Briefing. This month's session took a different approach, inviting participants to actively engage in a series of live polls as we worked through four possible scenarios for leadership's goals for programmable money. Rather than attempting to predict exactly what will happen, the exercise was designed to help identify the range of plausible future goals and consider what legislative guardrails may be needed before programmable money and assets become widely adopted.
Regardless of participants' differing views about the intentions behind programmable money or the likelihood of any particular scenario, there was complete agreement on one point: 100% of respondents believed that state legislative guardrails should be established for programmable money. It was a strong reminder that while opinions may differ on how the future will unfold, there is broad consensus that policymakers should act now to preserve individual choice, accountability, and financial freedom.
If you were unable to attend or would like to review the discussion, the replay, along with the presentation slides, will be posted on July 17.
To learn more about the four scenarios discussed during the briefing—The Republic, The Invisible Fence, The Permitted Life, and High-Tech Feudalism—we encourage you to review our overview here: https://solari.com/programmable-money-four-scenarios
We also hope you'll join us for our next Financial Transaction Freedom Briefing on July 30, The Growing Importance of the States' Support of Cash. As digital payment systems continue to expand and the financial infrastructure evolves, state action to preserve and strengthen cash acceptance is becoming increasingly important. We'll discuss why cash remains an essential component of financial resilience, privacy, and economic freedom, review recent legislative developments from around the country, and explore practical strategies states can pursue to ensure cash remains a viable payment option for all citizens.
We look forward to having you with us on July 30 as we continue building practical, state-based solutions to preserve financial transaction freedom.
In freedom,
The Solari Team |
