The fight for financial transaction freedom is on. Below is an overview of the most important developments happening in the state of Tennessee.

Howdy!

We’re excited to have you joining the team to help support our legislative efforts in Tennessee. While our primary focus here will be on bills that deal with financial transaction freedom, we will also alert you as to when other freedom focused bills need support.

Every Monday morning, we’ll email you an update on the actions that need to be taken. Some weeks you may receive more than one email depending on what legislative actions are needed – things can happen quick & we will keep you updated as things develop.

If you’re not sure who your legislators are, go to this link and search your address: https://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/Apps/fml2022/search.aspx

It's always impactful when writing a legislator to let them know where you live in Tennessee & if you are their constituent. While we know form letters are quick to send, they’re not as impactful as an individual email personalized with your views and concerns. Emails should be brief & respectful, legislators get a LOT of emails & often do not have the time to read in full or to respond. Don’t be disheartened by not getting a response, but if you get anything interesting back we’d love to see!

What's the action?

Our first action item is to call/email the members of Senate Commerce & Labor and ask them to vote no on the UCC update bill Senate Bill (SB) 0479/House Bill (HB) 0640.  The bill is 73 pages long and reforms the Uniform Commercial Code – with multiple provisions related to digital money. For two weeks we at Solari have been trying to find someone who can explain what this bill does and why it is needed and we have yet to been able to get a satisfactory answer.

We do know that this is the same UCC package that Governor Kristi Noem vetoed in South Dakota last year. We know that only 11 states have passed it – and therefore 39 states have not and thus there is no rush for TN to do so. We have time to understand what this bill does and why it is needed. We’ve been told that there is a new amendment that will make sure that the bill does not aid in the implementation of CBDCs, however that is cold comfort. The world’s largest central banks can use fast payment systems and private digital currencies to consolidate our banking systems and implement controls from New York, Washington, and Basel, Switzerland without CBDCs. Do not be fooled into thinking that this is just about CBDCs. We are facing a full blown weaponization of the global financial and banking system and it is one that we have the power to do something about to protect the people of Tennessee. When the central bankers are openly telling you that they are going to implement digital financial systems that will allow them to implement direct taxation without representation, that means they are planning a world in which Tennessee's banks and credit unions will be consolidated and ultimately wiped out and Tennessee state government will lose its sovereignty.

With this in mind, we can not pass a 73 page bill reforming the Tennessee laws governing our currency and financial system that are too complicated to make sense and which we do not understand. We ask that you please reach out to the committee members and ask them to vote no on SB0479. Let’s only pass bills that we understand and that we know for certain improve the health, wealth, and freedom of the people of Tennessee. SB0479 per the bill page is currently listed as being placed on the Committee Calendar in Senate Commerce & Labor this Tuesday February 6th, however, the committee agenda does not currently list it. This is the bill page to watch for updates. https://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=HB0640&ga=113

When looking at a bill page and wishing to read the bill in full, click on the bill number in white on the top left and a PDF of the full bill language will open up.
